Cavendish Memorial Day Ceremony


Seymour Leven during WWII. Dr. Leven, who will be today's speaker, was based in the Pacific Theater on Saipan and participated in the bombing of Tokyo as a gunner on a B-29 bomber.

MARCH TO THE CEMETERY

The march begins immediately following the program with the parade forming at The Cavendish Town Elementary School. The Green Mountain Union High School Marching Band will provide music and cadence for the parade. The Color Guard from the Ludlow American Legion Post #36 will lead the parade and bear the colors. The parade will proceed to the bridge on Depot Street for the traditional Wreath tossing ceremony honoring the men and women who died serving this country. The parade will then continue to Hillcrest Cemetery where there will be a brief closing ceremony including a gun salute and the playing of taps.
